Against a background of loud comedy and Punjabi cultural panache, Son of Sardaar 2 follows the same style of the franchise but introduces a new storyline. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and scripted by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain, the movie puts Ajay Devgn back in the role of the spirited Jassi Singh Randhawa. This time around the character is trapped in a foreign predicament where family circumstances are muddled, identities are fabricated and a lot of patriotism is played up. The movie is not a direct continuation but an independent installment, but it still has the over-the-top humor, cultural aspects, and big-sized characters of the series.

Son of Sardaar 2 Plot and storyline
The novel is based on the life story of a man called Jaswinder Jassi Singh Randhawa, who is a warm and hopeful man who has been waiting in India for over ten years until he gets a visa to pick up his wife, Dimple, in Scotland. Upon arriving in the UK at last with the permission, Jassi is devastated as Dimple informs him that she desires a divorce and that she has moved on in life. Heartbroken, Jassi does not immediately go back but tries to mend his failed marriage with the help of Rabia, a high-powered woman he finds in Scotland.
There is one more twist in the life of Jassi when he becomes a participant in the love affair of a young woman, Saba, who loves Goggi. Goggi is the son of Raja Sandhu who is a strong businessman of gangster nature with high degree of patriotism. Raja desires his son to be married to a decent family and he highly disapproves of Saba because of the kind of family she belongs to. Jassi is convinced to assist Saba and win the approval of Raja when he sees how helpless she is. In an attempt to persuade Raja, Jassi passes off as a retired Indian war hero, and Rabia as his faithful Indian wife. The bogus arrangement is to have an effect on Raja and his patriotic attitude. But the situation goes out of hand when the suspicious brothers of Raja, Tony and Tittu, begin to suspect the tale and attempt to level with Jassi. This is followed by a series of misconceptions, far-fetched fictions, physical comedy and mayhem.
With the trickery, Jassi and Rabia become emotionally bonded to one another to the extent that both characters have to address their incomplete pasts and entangled emotions. The climax unites family drama, emotional clashes, and clamorous humor and concludes with Jassi making a tough decision between furthering the lie or the truth and also making a decision of where his heart is.

Conclusion
The Son of Sardaar 2 was aimed at capturing the vigorous Punjabi comedy dance and mass movie of the first part, supported by a grand budget, a star lead actor and a supporting cast. Though the movie provided some fun and good acting by some of the actors such as Ravi Kishan and Deepak Dobriyal, the film had a problem with excessive length, bad sense of humor and screenplay messiness. The over-the-top comedy and artificial emotional driving worked not as well with audiences and led to mixed reviews and a dismal box office showing. Finally, Son of Sardaar 2 can be discussed as a promising yet poor entertainer, one that emphasizes the value of new narration and tighter performances instead of focusing on size and star popularity.
