Kudumbasthan Plot

The story is of a middle-class man named Naveen who lives in Coimbatore with his wife Vennila and their parents. Due to caste differences, Naveen and Vennila got married despite being from two different families. Vennila’s parents reject her, and Naveen’s mother is constantly berating her marriage. Although there is some tension, Naveen makes strenuous efforts to meet all the expectations. He pledges to give financial support to his parents and tells his wife to prepare for UPSC exam.

Naveen is employed at an ad agency but his life takes an abrupt turn for the worse when he gets fired for an argument with a client. Naveen lies to his family, he is afraid of being ridiculed by his arrogant brother-in-law, Rajendran. He begins taking out loans and loans from local creditors with the assistance of his friend, Simson, and desperately looking for a new position.

However, Naveen is getting more aggravated due to financial constraints and social pressure. The movie also delves into Rajendran’s fall. Kudumbasthan Production Details

Soon after completion of his previous projects, the development of Kudumbasthan began. The screenplay was written by director Rajeshwar Kalisamy, who had achieved fame as a member of the Nakkalites YouTube channel, in collaboration with Prasanna Balachandran.

They wanted to make a family entertainer that was grounded in realism, but was also funny and emotional. The movie was the Tamil debut of Telugu actress Saanve Meghana. Several Nakkalites were also featured in cameo appearances, enhancing the authenticity and natural comedy of the movie. S. Vinoth Kumar (producer) sponsored the project as Cinemakaaran.
