Plot

The Dhurandhar duology begins with an introduction of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young boy who has to leave his home in Pathankot for military training. While he was away, his family’s lives were ruined by a land dispute, and when Jaskirat returned, he exacted his revenge, only to find himself on death row. Before his scheduled execution, Indian intelligence officers sneak him out of jail under a false identity and give him a second chance to serve his country.

As Hamza Ali Mazari, he is sent deep undercover as an agent of the Islamabad government to break into Karachi’s underworld. As the story goes on in both movies, Hamza gradually gains the confidence of influential criminals and politicians and manages to covertly feed back to India. He works up a complicated private life, gets married to Yalina Jamali, which leads to a lot of slander from his enemies who question “who is Hamza?”.

Major Iqbal becomes very suspicious of himself, and the operations are in danger. In Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Hamza is forced to fight to preserve his identity as he executes an unprecedented massacre of the leadership of the terror organization. Finally completing his mission, which is considered to be his most important one, he assumes his “Hamza” identity and goes back to India permanently to end his long undercover saga.
