She offers him good money, around $5000 a week, and this is probably too much money for Dalton to turn down. He is hired to tame the rowdy crowds, which actually ends up creating chaos in the bar environment. 

After a near-death scrape that ends with a train wrecking his car, Dalton ends up going south and takes the bus.

On his journey, Dalton bonds with the locals, like several people like teenager Charlie and her father, Stephen. At the bar, Dalton ends up crushing a biker gang sent by a rich thug, Ben Brandt, who wants the land for his own condo plans. He ends up driving the beaten bikers to the hospital himself and meeting Ellie. By this time, Dalton is living on Frankie’s old houseboat, and he trains several bouncers and has started winning the hearts of several people in the town.

However, things get a little heated up when Ben Brandit sends a psycho enforcer named Knox after Dalton. He ends up surviving the ambush and begins dating Ellie. He also dodges a crooked sheriff and ultimately uncovers Brandt’s money laundering schemes. 

The climax of the movie is shown on a boat with bombs, crocs and shootouts. Dalton rescues his date, completely torches up Brandt’s luxury yacht and leaves Knox floating in the water.

In the end he is shown in a dilemma about whether he wants to continue running from his past, or embrace his new role of good vs evil.

Road House 2: sequel of Road House(2024 film)

A sequel to the 2024 action film Road House, called Road House 2, was being developed on the basis of its successful showing on Amazon Prime Video. Guy Ritchie was also reported to direct in April 2025 with a screenplay by Will Beall and confirmed it. Dave Bautista was asked to play a role in June 2025. Ritchie however left the project in July 2025 citing scheduling reasons. Later Ilya Naishuller had discussions to replace him as director. Leila George became a member of the cast in August 2025. 

The sequel is currently being developed, and Jake Gyllenhaal is likely to reprise the role of Dalton as of March 2026 under Amazon MGM Studios.
